I need insurance for my C3. If it was a normal C3 ide jus tadd it to my insurance, but seeing how its very custom now (Vert conversion, TPI system, soon new interior and way too many new items to put it over book value) I need something to protect and cover me little better.
Insurance suggestions for custom, weekend driven cars? other then the upgrades, car is not modified (engine, NOS, etc etc)
You can go to one of the specialty car insurers.I have My 2 79s
insured with " American Collectors Ins. Co. ". You can get an "Agreed
Value" policy where You tell'em how much You want to insure for and
they charge accordingly. Its usually quite cheap but there are restrictions, usually milage per year and car has to be kept in locked
garage and probably a couple of others.
I have been with Hagerty's for years but never had a claim. Go with agreed value. Get an appraisal first. should be in the phone book but get one that specializes in classic cars.
Insurance co will want pictures but only 4 corners and the interior. I don't think the mods matter!
