Yep all those boxes behind it were parts Bubba pulled off. Wife will kill me for this pic. She got a wild hair after our son was born 6 years ago and chopped her hair off. It has since grown back THANK GOD!!!

Old 350 AutoZone motor comes out.

Just a shell

454+.030, Solid CC Xtreme cam 10:1's, Scat crank, Edelbrock RPM heads and intake.

Motors in , M20 rebuilt and installed, rear end rebuilt with 3:70 gears, VB and P Street slalom suspension package with all urethane joints. Jet-Hot Hooker super comp headers and side pipes. Son is now 6 which is the age of this project.

Hope you ejoyed it.

It looks great! These type of updates/pics/etc.. keep me motivated on my own project. I can't wait to bail out of work this afternoon and get back into the garage. I'm trying to get as much done as possible before the 110+ degree days come back to the valley and keep me out of the garage. You clearly have a ton of time and effort in your car.

Stand proud.

I don't think I could've stuck with it through six years with a carpet-monkey (no offense, I've got two.) hanging off my leg. My youngest is eight now and can actually help, but, man, trying to do all that work when he was two would've been tough.

Kiss your wife and thank her for the support.

BlackRat,

Car looks great!

Ever head up to Quaker Steak and Lube at the speedway? They have been trying to get a cruise-in started on the weekends for a while.

Pic looks like the Autofair or Goodguys? That place is a blast.

Thanks guys I am very proud of it so far. Of course as I am sure with most of you we are our own worst crtic. That is why it is good to have a place like this to keep you motivated. I could not have done many of the jobs on this car without the help of the members on this forum. THANK YOU!

CGGorman - "carpet-Monkeys" That's funny I like that. I have 2 of the little critters 4 and 6 years old. I am fortunate enough to have a wife that understands and supports my hobby. Now if she would just let go of some more freakin MONEY!

PEPTO77-Yep it was bought at the Fall auto fair at LMS. I have heard about the gatherings. I hope to be able to participate soon. The vet still is not running but should be running and driving in the next couple of months.

Chevy69-I feel for ya. I am extremely hot natured. I go into AC hybernation here in the south east around June and don't come out till september. I hate hot weather.

No thanks I have had that New England weather before. The cold is fine but you can keep the snow. Thanks for the comments

You should get a medal for rescuing that sad looking old car and turning it to something the future generations can still look and be about it. You've done us all proud!
