I am ready to go to town on fixing up the '76 we picked up last summer.
Mechanically, she's ok to start the season, so I am considering some cosmetics. I've got a guy who can fix the little dings, dongs, chips, and spiderwebs on the body so we'll be closer to perfect (she's "passable" now).
As it stands, it is white with red interior. After watching all the shiny vettes roll across the stage at Barrett Jackson the past couple of nights, I am considering a color change.
I am not trying to do a full restore or anything liek that, I just want a gorgeous car.
Are there any pitfalls in changing exterior colors?
Definitely nervous to see that final cost, but it will be worth it. The white is a little dull, and it's got some old painted on striping that is flaking away.
Maybe it'll stay white, but some of those older Vettes w/ red interior look so good in black or silver....
