71 Head Light Switch Proper Operation Help
First, I want to thank everyone that responded to my earlier posts. Having a group like you all helps the new guy and makes this a whole lot more fun. I do appreciate it.
Spent the day running down a bunch of electrical issues with reasonable success. Brake lights, blinkers and front markers now work. Have figured out the fix for rear tails just need some supplies first. Still have to muddle threw the dash cluster lights and courtesy lights, which is were my question comes from. Heres what I got from checking the Ohms on the headlight switch.
Red (Power in) Makes to Blue in Headlight on position. OK
Orange (Power in) Makes to:
Brown (tailights) OK
Drk Grn ( dash cluster) this is the variable pot circuit OK
Heres where I'm stumped, (the switch is bad or I am)
I want to assume Orange or maybe Red should make to White?
I also thought Orange or maybe Red might make to White in the passed the detent postion of the variable switch.
Any help would really be appreciated.
