1972 Battery Box Help
The 5/16" bolt battery hold down bracket in my battery box has stripped out. How easy is it to remove the entire battery box? Or, is it easier to drill out the rivets and replace the piece(s) that contain the threaded bracket?

Good question. My battery was just sitting in a bunch of dirt and filth when I got mine. No strap. Took me a half hour to just clean it out. Lets hope someone can help here.

If your box is good, simply grind off or drill out the rivets, don't get into fiberglass work down in that hole.
The various parts, including rivets, are available from most of the forum suppliers such as Zip, Corvette Central, etc. I would replace all of it while I was at it.
