Hello, My name is Jeremy, and Im addicted to Corvettes

I worked on my trailing arm all day saturday, only to take the day off to spend with the wife on Sunday. She kept saying I was being awrnry and it was because I wanted to go out and finish what I started in the garage. She's right, I don't like "time off" right inthe middle of my Vette projects. I'll finish it this week - I guess I hate losing momentum.

Hoping my parts come in this week. If so, next weekend my son and I will start putting the interior back together. I told the relatives they could come to my house for Easter dinner so I can eat and go right out to the garage with my assistant. No nap on the couch for me. Yep, they try to understand me......

The bad news, there is no known cure once you are hooked.

The good news, you will be having too much fun to care!

As I was waxing my Vette yesterday my neighbor came over to talk and look at the ol gal. She said "I thought you waxed it earlier this week". My reply was.... "no, It was about 9 days ago".

I need to go polish my rims now........

Tell me about it. 32 years of ownership and I'm still addicted. There is no cure, so I buy more.

I don't really want to be picky, but "awrnry" is really spelled "ornery", at least down South.

Work on the car, you got the rest of your life for the wife!

despair....there is no help.....I usually start my ritual after everyone has gone to sleep.....so after doing this for years i don't feel bad in spending day light hours with the family....and it cuts down on the conflicts over time....

Dang....leave it up to a salesman to learn us engineers how to spell

Don't worry Jeremy....we plan to have penty of beer at the STL C3 Sharks Tech day this weekend to medicate our addiction.

The Twelve Steps of C.A.

1) We admitted we were powerless over performance--that our car had become unacceptable

2) Came to believe that more power could restore us to sanity

3) Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to our car as we understood it

4) Made a searching and fearless inventory of our car

5) Admitted to the Forum, to ourselves, and to every human being the exact nature of our cars defects

6) Were entirely ready to remove all these defects

7) Humbly asked the Forum for help to remove its shortcomings

8) Made a list of all parts we had harmed, and became willing to make repairs to them all

9) Made repairs to such parts wherever possible, except when to do so would injure our car

10) Continued to take inventory of our car and when required, promptly improved it

11) Sought through discussion and meditation to improve our conscious contact with our car as we understood it, praying only for knowledge of its will and the ability to carry that out

12) Having had a mechanical awakening as a result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to motorheads, and to practice these principles in all our affairs

i hate it when we go out on the weekends and she says, why don't you take me home early ,i know you want to spend time on the vette.
i really only hate her figuring it out so quick.
my fiancee asked me one day why i would build a 2 seater car when i'm a single dad raising 2 small kids.(i had the car before i met her).
i don't think i should tell her "well, before i met you i was gonna hit town on the weekends, just as the bars are closing(i don't drink)and see what i can pick up.

I thought I was the only weird one. I am often in my shop till 11:00 or 12:00. soemtimes it is 8:30 before I get in my shop. then up at 6:00 for my real job, luckily I do not require much sleep. spend time with the wife and family and then off to my shop, so far works good been married 25 years

My Wife was yelling at me last night because every time I work on the Vette, I don't eat until the project is done. I've been starving for months!!!

I told her the only solution was to bring me a sandwich and a 12 pack

While most of us would embrace the 12 steps listed above, I don't think those are the same 12 steps our spouses envision.
