Thanks folks...I was really picky about what I wanted on this one and was concerned how this color would look on the curvy lines of a C3. I am happy now
I did do all the prep but frankly, after attempting the pain, er uh, paint process once myself, I humbly bowed out and paid a guy for his labor. Local connection...
How much did you have to pay him...and will he do mine the same color??? That is one sexy C3 and I'm getting those wheels this summer...basically I want to copy you!
I did the body work, stripped it ,put on the stinger hood and painted it.
Color sanded. and buffed it all in the driveway last July. If you have some patience and stay off the edges you can do it yourself, Use a dual speed buffer and about every 2 minutes use a screwdriver on the pad to keep it clean. The trick to not burning the paint is to keep moving and keep the pad clean. Wet sand with 1200 grit. Use lots of water. Looks real good you did a nice job.

$300 labor, I did all the body work and prep but he did some final sanding before spraying and added the door jams in so I will probably bump him some extra. I will be pleased once the hood issues are corrected. It's getting a 4 wheel alignment today...
