The front Y on the exhaust broke, right where it connects to the pipe leading to the CAT. Okay, since I am a strict budget (unemployment sucks), and the weather is perfect for driving, I did a TEMPORARY fix.
Took chicken wire, wrapped it around the break and then covered the wire with high temp tape. All I'm trying to do is channel the sound down the exhaust system.
I promise my Vette brothers and sisters that I will fix it correctly once the income is coming in.
(ahem) Step away from the vette.....step away please....now tell us your story and we'll take up a collection......
I figure a dollar or two from every CF member should get the exhaust fixed correctly, and get me through until I find a new job!! Thanks for the offer.
A pic? Not a bad idea. Now I have to figure out how to post pictures on here. Well, I guess I have plenty of time to do it.
BTW, Eddie 70, it works to certain degree, I did drive it today, and it only moderately sounds like a beat up truck
Like NH says,, all thats missing is the Maxwell House coffe can, top and bottom cut off and a couple of hose clamps. Maybe a wrap of "Tiger Tape" Would bring a tear to Bubbas eye.
