Cant wait till i can go to events like this with mine, it makes all the work worth it i guess. Anyone else notice that camaro, out in front....
The intent was an "all" Corvette autocross etc...but they opened it up to any other make if all racing spots were not filled...that Camaro was very fast..there were also two Cobras owned by a Corvette guy who raced them after he ran his Vette late in the day..but those were NASA cars...43 Vettes run in the event..
Rich where was that held, I don't recognize the area?
Hi...it was at Qualcomm off Friars Rd...Vettes "R" Us did the autocross...two other clubs did the car show,Rallye and Funkanna..
Fun day,and those clubs did a good job...46 Vettes and one Camaro ran the autocross..I did not get my 78 ready in time for the race because I had to fix an ignition glich in the 69...
In all my Corvette years, this was the first time I've seen four Corvette events at the same venue in one day...something for everyone...rain early kind of delayed things a bit..(but my 69 wipers worked like a champ)..my iginition switch is fixed...it went out of adjustment causing a short..like to drove me nuts figuring that one out..but a forum member said to check the switch..and he was right...
How is your vette running ?
Rich

Hey Rich,
Those are great pics you put up. Corvettes of San Diego, Vettes R Us and the San Diego Corvette Club thank all that attended the event. It was a very enjoyable day. Our next event will be Corvette Dreamin on May 21st. We have a spot for every and any Corvette.
Yes...one vette running was a gal who is National Champ in the Pro Solo Tour....think she smoked most vettes out there..
That woman who drives that Vette, if it's who I think it is, she's AWESOME.
She did some seat time with me when I was doing Novice runs back in the day, and she gave me some pointers, and was surprised that I was able to keep my FWD Saturn under control when the rear end broke loose.
*sigh* I just wish my Vette were DRIVEABLE. If it were, I'd have come down in it to check out the guys running...Oh well.
