Removable Hardtop value ??

Any suggestions on where to find a hardtop for a C3 and what do they ususally bring ($) in decent shape?

Ive seen them sell on average from $500 to $800 in good shape. Much much lower if they are missing everything.

Keep an eye on ebay - save a search. Shipping is expensive and difficult for these things, so a smart shopper will pay a premium if he finds one locally. I did, and paid $550 for a decent top, hardware a little sketchy, very nice headliner, suited my needs perfectly (for dragstrip only).

Keep in mind that a hardtop option cost $274 in 1972, +$158 for vinyl or $432 for a vinyl covered hardtop when new.
