Default Shorty headers

Setting up the fuel injection in my 74 and have been looking for shorty headers. The reason for the shorty style of header is so O2 sensor will be close to it's operating EGT. I haven't found many shorty headers for the C3s from the big speed shops. I found these folks on the web and has any forum member ever used any of their products?

Any other sources out there for shorty headers on a SB C3? TIA, houstonvett

Default shorty headers

http://www.sandersonheaders.com/

Somebody is always selling some generic ones on ebay. [example most shorty headers are block huggers and don't usually interfere]. I think the sanderson ones might be a little more quality. I also believe that the ram's horn cast iron ones are just as good for flow. Especially if you are running just a street setup. Won't make any difference when gas hits five a gallon, you will be looking to make a pedal car out of it and will have to get your exhaust noise from playing cards in the spokes on the wheels.

What do you guys think of these? I was looking at them, I didn't want something too pricey.

I too am looking for shorty headers for my 1980. Will the ones on ebay work on mine? Never installed headers before, so I am assuming I just remove stock manifold and bolt on the headers to my existing exhaust without cutting them. Is that smog equip. on my left manifold?

I suggest going to summit for cheap shorty headers. The ones on ebay have issues with spark plug wire clearances. The cheapo long tubes I got from summit had zero issues with fitting.

For the price of cheap shorty headers with fitment issues + new wires and boots, you can get a better fitting set of long tubes. So I'd definitely go to summit for just about any headers.

First off with the 1980 are your heads stainless steel or cast iron? 2nd off how are you running street legal true duals on that vette in Maryland? (This is according to your profile and additional information listed there).

I have the 81 with the stainless steel shorty headers with the A.I.R. tubes. You can't find these new anywhere.
