Default Steering Wheel Question

I was wondering if anyone knows if any 76 steering wheels ended up on 75's. I know that sometimes with some years that parts from the newer model were put on a year older model. I have a 75 coupe and I have a 76 wheel. I think it might have been a "Bubba" fix(like 76 column was put on it at some point) or maybe it really did come with the car. If it is a 76 wheel can I replace it with a 75 or do I have to do some mod to make the 75 fit. Thanks in advance.

The actual 1975 and 1976 Corvette steering columns are identical. Actually, all of the bare 1969 through 1976 Vette columns will interchange. The 1976 steering wheel and the attaching parts are different from the earlier ones. The basic difference is that the 1976 steering wheel has a hub integral molded into the wheel. The C3 steering wheels before 1976 had separate hubs.

If you have a T&T column, the horn button, and the telescoping hardware is different 1976 compared to the previous years.

The following two pictures show the differences in hardware between the 1969-75 T&T steering wheels, horn parts, and telescope lock and the 1976 model.

Here are the standard (non-adjustable) steering columns and their steering wheels.
