How do you get the arms between the piviot and the wiper motor off?
One end has bolts, but the other end looks like it clips in. I can't seem to pop if out though, using a reasonable amount of force.
Also, does anyone have pics of how they have covered the wiper area to hid it when the bonnet (hood) is up? I have some ideas, but want to see what has already been done. Oh, and my car is a 73 vert.
My '76 has bolts at both ends, but on one end the bolts are underneath the clamp so you can't see them. It might look like it's just clipped on if you can't see the bolts.
One end is bolts, the other end is rivets, or something similar that isn't going anywhere. They aren't on the car at the moment, but all the bits are joined up still, so I can easily see all angles. Just can't seem to separate them all. I bought a manual for the car, but it's still somewhere in the mail, so until then, I have to ask dumb Q's here LOL
Damnit, my memory has failed me. Sorry Ozzyvet - I've given you a bum steer there. :o
Both arms are clamped with bolts at the motor but at the wiper end they're rivetted to the wiper pivot arm.
I guess to remove them you'd have to drill out the rivets. Looks tough though - they're round-head solid rivets that will have been machine-pressed into place I guess.
