Default Is this a performance section or what?!!!!

OK I thought the idea of a C3 performance section was a good idea but it's getting tough to sort through the threads for paint, wiring, this and that accessory.

If it doesn't make your car faster than stock, handle better than stock or any other mod for performance why place them here?

Sorry for the rant but this is getting ridiculous.

No, it's tech/performance it's for anyone looking for help or suggestion on any issue car/part/toubleshooting/new idea/performance etc. Shouldn't this post be in general..?

I've been sort of dissapointed with some of the members that seem to hold their mods close to the vest.

We still don't know a whole lot about your car.

Some seem more interested in selling sheit than helping us....redvetracr?

I'm always looking for suspension/racing stuff but don't get a lot of joy around here anymore.

maybe we could at least try and keep this one alive.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...hlight=junkies

naw, probably not.

This is show n' shine season and people need cupholders.

I think having discussions concerning seat belts are of the utmost importance for proper perfromance!! If you put the right weight set in, you can improve horsepower by a whopping .00005 percent!!

In my mind, if it involves fixing something, it's technical. That can be installing sidepipes or just getting balky seatbelts working again.

I don't think the poster of that thread comes into the C3 area too much. Cup holders are a big thing for C5 owners.
Some people look at those cheap plastic things and see a cup holder, I see them as a thing to put my empty beer can in.

oh.......and don't forget about the paint, and the head lamp relays!! No tellin' how much performance you can pick up with these properly matched!!

And don't forget to check out the other performance topics below.....all on the first page!!

Trailing Arm Bushings...(good for a least 10 hp)
Convertible top Repair....(less drag equals better performance)
Wiper Motor......(Higher speeds in the rain?)
Valve Cover Bolt.......(special alloy will lighten the ride for at least 5 hp gain)
Ground on Headlights.....(Got to see, to perform, right?)
A/C blower vibration.......(Driving while hot and sticky, is tiresome, and not efficient)
Heater Control Valve.......(Driving while shivering will also detract for high performance results)

These are just a few.........

it never ceases to amaze me what people choose to complain about.

most people dont realize that the general section is a good place to ask
GENERAL tech questions
they see the word TECH in the tech/performance heading and ask.
not everyones idea of tech is the same as someone elses and
im sure i have posted things that some people didnt think was of a technical nature but to me it was.

either way the best bet is not to complain but overlook the posts
most times i will just put my mouse curser over the subject and read what the question/comment is before clicking this way i can see if it actually interests me or skip to the next one.

I dont suppose this thread is technical either.

the modarator needs to fix, there is no performance tab, so if one posts to "general discussion" it is ending up under tech & preformance.

In the cup holder thread he stated he had a technical problem where it was posted (technically; having problems with posting the thread in the general section, and it technically ended up in the tech/performance)...explained and asked a mod to move it...of course it was after others mentioned it was technically in the wrong part of the forum.

Prolly just a simple technicality...

Sure, those questions aren't performance based, but many are technical in nature so why are you calling them out? This is a Tech/Performance forum. In my book that means more than just questions about handling/horsepower/performance are appropriate.

Maybe what we need is a "I want to b*tch about people posting in the wrong forum" forum.
