I had the opportunity to beat the hell out of one once, and I gotta say that if it had a little more power, the stigma of being a chick car would probably go away. I don't quite think the boxster is in miata territory yet though.......

Hensen, I don't know what it's like in your area, but here in leafy Surrey many Porsche drivers aim really dirty looks at Vettes, with the odd exception. It's one of the 1st things I noticed after getting mine, oncoming drivers either didn't pay any attention, or there'd be waves, people pointing, smiles, wide eye'd gawping, or just looks of curiosity/bafflement. Porsche (esp Boxster) owners generally gave the sort of look you'd expect from somebody if you'd turned their dog into a doner kebab & fed it to their kids! Don't know what it is, Ferrari, TVR, Lambo, Skyline, M series, etc drivers either pay no attention or give a nod or a smile, a lot give a 
some take photos, but none glare like Porsche owners do. Perhaps they're in a bad mood because their last client didn't want a blow dry? 
Or maybe it's all down to my hairstyle?!!!!
Be sure to watch Top Gear this Sunday. Apparently there's going to be a Z06 test & several nice Vettes on it (& no doubt a verbal annihilation from JC

Not to buck the trend here, but I don't really see the Boxster as a chick car. More of a poor mans Porsche, or their answer to the BMW Z3 (which IS a chick car to me).
Going way off-thread here, but what do you guys think of the Solstice, especially the GXP that is coming out soon, or the Sky/Sky Redline also coming in the near future?

Uh, I never said my C3 was girlie.
You said my zx was girlie.
I said the Boxster is not girlie any more than the C3..or anymore than my ZX... get it?
None of them or ANY cars are girlie in MY opinion... just nice cars.
Now maybe you stop calling Boxsters OR ZX's girly... cause SOME people may think that of your C3 in return.
