Living in the Dallas area, having AC for your car is important for those hot summer days. The '68 that I purchased does not have AC so I was considering adding a system.
I have found a kit from classic air that I am considering. Has anyone istalled this system in their car? Is so, can you tell me how close this looks compared to stock? I know some interior changes would have to be made, but if I put it in, I want the general appearance to be as though it came installed from the factory.
You might also look at Vintage Air - they have a complete Corvette Kit.
This unit works MUCH better than stock. Call them at (800) 862-6658.
Complete 68 - 76 kit is $1428.00.
Alot of threads about this lately. It's a major thing to add to any car - let alone a Vette.
If you do decide to do this, Dynamat your interior, and use a Thermal Shield around your firewall. That will make your interior more insulated so that the A/C actually works.
Good luck
