[not a vette] 302 engine
Anyone know what a stock 68 z28 would run in the 1/4? 302 w/ 4.somethin gears.
Just a ballpark. I have seen the old reliable articles, but I was curious as to bone stock.
Recently my dads old 68 was put back together and I was just curious how fast they were/are.

low 14s top 13's i would guess as this was not a drag motor but a high revving race motor
but then again I could be completely wrong

The magazine tests of the day clocked low to mid 14's on the stock E-70 bias ply tires. The engine is nothing below 3000 but can easily wind to 7000+. Rated by GM at 290 HP at the flywheel, the actual HP is thought to be around 340 which would put 270 +/- HP to the wheels which is about right for a 14 seconds and 3300 lbs car.
