Default my introduction

good day everybody,
i just bought my 1980 vette in december, it was one of those thing that i had to have before i died, paid 1300 for her, beautifull condition, i have named my vette pandora. well anyways, im planning on taking out the 305 that is currently in there and put in a 350 crate motor, im looking at 330 or 350 on the HP front. i also dont like auto tranys and i got one in there right now so thats got to go. and im going to throw on the hooker side pipe kit that i have seen on a couple of your cars out there. my major problem is that i, sadly, used to be an inport guy and really only know about my acura integra B18C1 engine, and i have to re learn everything. so if anybody can point me in the right direction as far as learning material it would be appriciated, also if anybody noticed any major problems with my plans i would like to know now before i waste money. thanks.

Hey man, nice to see you here. I'm a newbie here too and actually don't have my own Vette yet, but it'll be comming soon, I hope. Sounds like a good deal on the car, and I like the ideas you have for it. What color will it be?

Welcome to the site. You'll find a wealth of info here and cool people too. Here in about an hour I'll be pulling the crap 305 out of my car and replacing it with the GMPP 350/330 horse motor. I'll post pics during the process.

There is a 305 in my 69 as well that will need to go. Unfortunately, it is not happening this weekend

Welcome to the family! This really is a great place to learn about these cars. I've never posted a question that I didn't get some helpful and accurate responses to. You could ask something totally outlandish and get an answer.

later model c3's aren't fast, but with some time and money they can have some performance to go with the awesome looks.

If you paid $1300 for the car in your avatar, you practically stole it! The Acura is a much more sophisticated car so, if you understand them, you can understand a C3. You may consider EFI when you do your 305 to 350 swap.

Again, congratulations on your purchase!
