$13000 ???? for a 305 ??? That is the most POS engine that was ever built...thats a lot of money for what you got, hope it is all in pristine working/looking order and you dont have to fix too much up, otherwise you will have wasted your money.
Where are you located, what year and model is the car, what works what doesn't...
and for gods sakes, post some pics..
Bangkok Dean has a valid point... THESE POSTS ARE WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICS !!!

I don't think there is much difference in HP in the 80 model with the 350 or 305 both are gutless. A California car with no rust issues is worth more than a 454 rust bucket. The late C3s as we all know are gutless stock buy easily changed and at a reasonable price to up grade to some decent HP. Not to mention they look cool.
No, Bangkok Dean, it is not.
I have personally seen cars of the same year with a 305 in fab condition for about $6500
But that is not my business, if he is happy with his new car, then it is 100% worth it.

I swapped the 350 in mine for a 290hp 350 GM Crate and with the new headers, cat, flowmaster exhausts and other breathing equipment, it now pumps a little more than 300hp, I'm glad to say.
