I let my "reputable" mechanic change my timing chain and now My battery will not stay charged for more than a day at the most.I have tried everything and can't figure where the hell the "battery drian" is coming from. I have taken every fuse out and the battery still gets drained. Any ideas?

This may sound crazy....my battery drain was......the little light in the center glove box did not go out when the glove box door was closed. I adjusted the "switch" in the glove box (sitting in the dark) and have since stopped buying batteries !
put one of these in-------see post above battery disc switch---- j c whitney-- until you trace down draw this will keep battery from draining---------------------------------------------------------
i see those all the time at car shows for a buck, problem i had w/ them was when opening circut for parking at indoor car shows the connection makes and breaks, sounding the alarm. when you turn that **** 2 plates get a small gap to stop current flo, problem is they also make sending current thru again causing the annoying alarm to go thru its annoying cycle of noise, the blade type once opened stays opened, but there a little more pricy at almost 30 bucks a pop

if theres no load how can it drain? unless its not even charging. id make sure the systems charging then id open the circut and see what happens if it still is dead with the complete electrical disconected(by means of a disc switch or just removing the termanils for a few days) my vote would be a weak cell draining the rest of them,,,i had a new battery do this,,,first i put in the disc switch,,went back to the car a few days later and it was dead,,,how can a new battery be dead in 2 days with no draw at all on it???? because if one cell is weak it will draw the rest down with it..a good garage will be able to test the cells with a hydrometer type tool to check the electrolite one step at a time and you;ll figure it out
