I've started to care less about it since I got my station wagon. Let them hit my sub 1k car and buy me a new car. That just means I won't have to go an NC summer without AC.
at a stoplight, just inch forward, stop...if they inch forward also, put it in reverse and go about 1 foot in reverse until they hit the horn. Works every time.
I got out of mine once and Calmly (sortof) explained to the kid in the ricer behind me that it was unkind to tailgate, I did this just as the light was turning green, in a school zone.
I reckon that glock tucked in your waistband helped to convince him too

That sounds like a good way to express your feelings. It will help if your a 'big ole boy, tho. Larry
My kid did that the other day to a guy that was coming up on his bumper without slowing (playing on cell phone). Guy plowed into him. Son told policeman what happpened and the cop cited my son for reckless driving for putting on his brakes (no skid marks)......be careful with the brake things the old rule about if some hits you from behind -- they are at fault is simply not true.
Bullcrap!!! The law says you must stay a safe distance from the car in front of you to give yourself enough time/distance to stop. A lawyer will remind the cop of that in court.

I've really only had one person in the few months I've had my car come up behind me, but it was a new Mustang GT, on a curvy road, and it was obvious he wanted to play, so of course I had to oblige, but really I've pretty much only gotten respect driving mine.
Most of the time its just someone not paying attention and not even realizing that they are being rube. But thats how people and cars get hurt.
My experience is that there are very few accidents, someone was doing something stupid.

I'd have fought that one. 1) The guy was behind him, fooling with his cell phone. 2) The guy in the car needed to be paying attention to the traffic in front of him, not his cell phone. He hit your son because he wasn't paying attention to the road. 3) If your son was driving a vehicle with anti-lock brakes, THERE AREN'T GOING TO BE ANY SKID MARKS!!! The cop making that judgement was an idiot.
