How many of you dont have a heater core or have it hooked up. Is it a bad thing to not have the core hooked up or what. I just bypassed mine because it was letting heat in the car. I am going to take out the heater box and seal it up with a plate of metal since i dont have any controls or duct work for the air/heat. Is this bad or will it be okay i dont drive the car in the winter and the t-tops are off 99 percent of the time

When I built my stroker, I just plugged the heater line holes in the water pump and the manifold with 1/2" pipe thread plugs. Best thing I ever did...and the cheapest too!
If you're not driving it in the winter don't worry about it. just be sure that the water/anti freeze is full and go for it. I've had my heater core disconnected on my 83 mustang for about 4 yrs. too much of a pain to change. will do the same on the 69 corvette when it statrs leaking.
I've only driven my CE about 4 miles, long enough to notice a heater core leak when I tried the A/C and Heat controls. I bypassed it, and it would probably be a cold day in hell before I actually try to swap it out. It's not like I'll be driving a 450 mile car in the winter :-)
