I put the Eckler hood on it last year before I painted it. I really like it.
It draws a lot of comments at car shows. Some like it, some think it is a travesty to change anything. I did what I wanted, and the original hood is stored in my garage for the next owner. I also put in a removable back window, so I have destroyed the "collecter" value.

The hood as it comes from Ecklers is closed. Mine is now open. I used my trusty dremel tool and cut the opening before I painted the car. Took about 1 hour. The back of the hood is open also so air is drawn out of the engine compartment. Another side benefit is you gain about 2 inches of clearance so you can run a higher intake manifold. The fit was really great and the hood is very well made and feels about the same weight as the stocker. I only had to mortice the hinges about 1/4 inch and the hood fits perfect. I could not be happier with the hood. The original is tucked away and will be available to the new owner after I have left the planet.
