Don't you just love it when the problem is obvious like that? Mine was a problem, but the board showed absolutely no signs of failure.
Further, when I installed the new board, it was now broken differently! Turns out the new board was such low quality that I had to redo all the solder joints ...then it worked. Does it work great? no ...it's not terribly accurate, especially < 1k RPMs.
I know the dash is coming out again in teh future ...I can deal with it more then.
