Bought one about ten years ago. Can't live without it. Makes working under the car a breeze, and I just stack the '69 and '84 when I'm not working on them.
How much are kits like this running? The site just asks you to "Call for Prices".
no it doesn't - you have to build the lift you want - which the site allows you to do. They are not cheap lifts but they are "made in American" and quality lifts. My garage isn't high enough for one of these, but I wish it was, I'd buy one in a heart beat. What I am thinking about is the kwiklift, raises the car about 48 inches or so.
I have had that brand for three years now. They have an ad in Corvette Fever and on their website of my two Vettes. A red 75 and a two tone silver/ charcoal. The main thing I like about this lift is the locking mechanism. It is positive locking. This is the best lift I found for the money. If you value your life and your Vette get the best you can. Also this lift is American made.

I have the rotary revolution 4 post and its great. I spent a lot of time researching lifts and the backyard buddy and the revolution were the best IMO. If you look at them side by side you can see how much better the quality is wiyh these two vs the imported lifts. Again this is JMHO so take it for what its worth all I know is I am completly comfortable standing under a car on my lift I can't say that about all the others.
How much space do you need under the ceiling to fit a "low" Vette on top and a regular car on the bottom??
and is there a stop that you can set for a certain height if you dont have a very tall ceiling?
i think i could get 4.5 to 5 feet in my garage but anything over that
would be pushing it.

heck if I could get my C3 4 feet up in the air to work on it I'd be happy as a pig in Schnitzel.

I don't know what you consider a "regular" car, but here is my setup: I have a Backyard Buddy (7 years old now) in my outbuilding which has a 10' 4 1/2" ceilng height. At tmes I have stacked a Vette over top of a '69 El Camino or a '69 Camaro. I think it was about 57" above the floor for clearance.
When I work on a car, I usually only run the lift up about 40", and I scoot around on a chair on casters that I bought. Works great! If you had a lower ceiling, that would still be the way to go IMO.
They just jacked their prices or their on line system was faulty - I've been going out to their site for a couple of months toying with the idea of buying one. From the home page when you hit "Order Online" red button it gave you the option to "build" your own lift with the options you wanted and it would give you the PRICE of your specific lift. Now the site says "Call for Quote". What's the point of Ordering Online if you have to turn around and "Call"? So the only thing I can say is they changed it.

...I paid around $3300 for mine 4yrs ago. Went to the factory in Niles, Ohio myself and they loaded it on my car trailer. It is one serious, very heavy duty lift. I looked at other designs for a couple of years and didn't like them as well as BYB...
