Default radiator help

Went to give my system a flush today. Went to turn the drain plug(pepcock?). Anyways, the whole plug, elbow and radiator fitting just fell off Seems it was loose..probably could have gone at any time!

Anyway, the fitting into the radiator bottom looks as if it is just press fit...no threads on the side that goes into the radiator...also no weld or anything...looks pretty clean.

The radiator is the original harrison (brass fittings)...never have any overheating problems or anything like that, this is just a routine flush.

When I put it back in, should I use JB weld or something like that to keep it from coming out? It still fits snug.
