Hot Topic-Baffles
Thanks to all of the posts for Mufflers/Baffles for hooker headers/sidepipes. I have a 72 (350 SS) that is close to coming out of the restoration shop (in since Nov). Two weeks ago I went to the shop and they started the engine (only heard the engine 2X b4) It was so loud that they refused to run the engine for over ten seconds because of the other shops around them. After a lot of homework on the forum, my final decesion was between the Sts Spiral Baffles and the Hooker Max-flows. I decided to move forward with the Spiral baffles because of the flexibility with the cover (able to drill out the center cap). The baffles sound great!!! and I am pleased with my decesion. Will post more pics and a sound clip in a week or so. Next step, drive the crap out of it and send it to the paint booth.
