Has anybody used an aftermarket tachometer but use the stock face for the tach (mines a 76 electric tach). The aftermarket supertach (Other brands too) are cheap, work very well etc. I just wonder if you could retrofit it to the original face.
My stock tach is unreliable. works sometimes, doesn't other times.

Jeremy, I think it would be far easier to fix your 76 tach. I took the 76 tach off the parts car and had it refaced down at Corvette Intruments for Project Ramjet. So, far it is working very reliably.

yeah, maybe I just need to remove the dash pad and verify that it isn't something stupid like a loose connection or something before I get going too far...
