Oh yeah! Been there, done that, got the t-shirt and shotglass. I've been wrestling with some bodywork for the past 2 months and it's fighting me every step of the way. I sympathize.
know that feeling. I felt like this fri night.....over a missing fuse.
What caused yours?
Fiberglass body work! Rebuilding/Reshaping headlight lid area on front nose is an enormous PITA! Thank God I'm almost done and should be in 2K primer by the weekend if the weather holds up. Looks like I'll be going with PPG's DELTRON 2000 DBC Basecoat and their Concept Clear. I'll keep you guys posted with some pics soon. Meanwhile, here's a glimpse of what she looks like now:
Didn't set mine on fire, but came close. Brake caliper mounting bolts would not break loose, so I torched the heads off. Newspaper soaked in brake fluid under the car caught fire from the sparks (my bad). Glad I had an extinguisher close at hand.
It caught fire on its own once. Bubba had moved the battery and battery cable. Cable burned through on the exhaust manifold, starting a fire by arcing near some oil leaks catching the oil on fire. Extinguisher again saved the day, my car, and my house.
I fixed Bubba's mess, including the oil leaks to prevent a recurrence.
...How many of you have ever felt like you wanted to take your vette and just torch the bastard and be done with it?...
Not here. My two happen to be ladies so I'm not concerned with parentage. I will say there have been a few limited instances where we have not seen eye to eye on a particular point, but we've always kisssed and made up.
