after i had that hood insulation chrome pin fall off,,hit the radiator and fly thru my hood,, i took it in to the body shop. they repaired the hood and reshot the entire hood, then i took the blanket off and they sanded down the inside of the hood and painted it g.m. chassis black.. nice satin finish..i got the crossed flag decal from fast decals and thought i would post a picture so you guys could see how good it came out...im done with the insulation blankets,,they dont last more than 2 yrs anyway before they look like hell.and i dont need the clips falling into the radiator anymore...he did all this for 300 bucks including removing the hood and even placing the decal on for me-i also took the entire cowl induction flapper out painted the frame hammered silver and the flapper door red,,and the syloinoid yellow it looks real sharp-i even bought a new cable from latch to latch so what do you think???----------------------------------

thank you dino and others for all the kind words,, the 300 beans i spent will pay for it self in the hood insulation blankets alone i get every two years,,my advice stay away from chrome plated hood retaining clips,,they dont look very pretty as they fly thru you hood
