Led Zepplin was at their height during the C3 day, their tunes make for killer driving music, so there's the Corvette link.....
Anyway, I was at my buddy's sons birthday party yesterday(two sons, one turning 3 the other turning 16). Some of us older guys were in the garage when we saw the DJ setting his equipment up, when I reminded him(young guy, late teens maybe) "hey it's 7:00 time to Get the Led Out!" He didn't have a clue what I was talking about! So I told him every weekday at 7 pm the two classic rock stations in our area 104.1 The Hawk, 107.7 The Bone play about a 20 min. shot of the Zep. He had never heard of this, so it was my guess he wasn't going to play any that evening.
So it got me wondering, do they "Get the Led Out" in other parts of the country?
Around the Seattle, WA area the classic rock station KZOK 102.5 used to have a Saturday "lunch with led" but I haven't checked lately. Some of their program format has dropped in quality.
I moved from CD to cassette tape their best of "early years" and "later years" so I have a good selection at the ready.

Like the room decor
Like the Winterland poster, heard a lot about that place when I was a kid, long before my concert going days. Plus it says 68, same year as my Vette

we have a "97.5 the Hawk" here in central, NJ that "gets the led out"
i believe at 7pm every night also.
cool station, i have won a few of their contests over the last 3 years
most recently 2 VIP tickets to see springsteen with VIP parking.
tickets were right next to the stage in a VIP seating area.
funny things is i CANT STAND BRUCE!!
so i gave them to a friend of mine here at work.
93.7 the arrow everynight at nine in houston. The best money i ever spent was the led zeppelin box set, complete studio recordings. I am now 22 and ive been hooked since i was about 13. I grew up listening to the beatles, cream, skynard and such (my dad actually owns every single beatles vinyl). It started when i found his copy of houses of the holy. To this day over the hills and far away is one of my favorites. Its so hard to pick one.
I agree with you there! Every single album those guys made rocks! If had to pick one, I think it would be Physical Graffiti
The local classic station plays it, or they used to. I don't listen to the radio much now that I have an MP3 player. However, last year I bought a 3 CD Led boxed set that I have put onto the MP3 player. I cruise with Led a lot now but I can't do what we used to do back in the day when we cruised to some Led.....
Zep rocks, WPDH 101.5 in Poughkeepsie N.Y. has it nights @ 7:20, they call it the ZEP set, what do y'all think about "How The West Was Won", I have it just about worn out, 'specially Moby Dick. My daughter thinks "my music" is the bomb, whereas my son listens to it but prefers,,,,,,"EMO" poor misguided boy,,,,,Peace,,,Moosie
