The wave, the birthday thing mentioned in the other post; it goes on and on. These are the kind of things that embarrass the hell out of me to own a corvette. This kind of corny behavior is quite gay, if I must say so. I expect to be in the minority but I am sure that there are a few others who agree. I could give a rats buttocks what people think about me as a result of what car I drive. I like fast cars because they are fun to work on and drive. Some vette owners think that other people respect or admire them for owning one, when in fact, the opposite is more likely. Lets stop the corny *** behavior, which only makes it worse. I am hereby implementing a ban of such traditions. I may be a one man show but if I see any of you cornballs acting like such dorks, I will carry out a citizens arrest on the spot and/ or tow your vehicle away.
Sounds like someone is in a REALLY bad mood. If all you wanted was a fast car then buy a kit car and pimp it out. There is a family and history involved with vettes and sorry you don't want to be a part of it.

I can take it or leave it.....in fact I used to think "the wave" was more of a southern thang.....but as I have traveled more and more....I believe that there are tons of really nice folks "north of the line" as well.....but rest assured....
Heck, I had a driver and passenger wave from a C5 last weekend, first time I've ever seen that. And then a Trans Am convertible waved at me the same day. Don't know what to think about that one.
It's not corny, it's a tradition, and most Vette owners don't mind. Let it be. It's a Vette thing, you wouldn't understand.

This so called “corney” behavior is one of the reasons I like owning one of these cars
The vette community is great and it sounds like you are not apart of it
True, I went to a hotrod show, and met with two guys with corvettes, What a blast. Its fun just turning 16, and being able to talk and hang out with older guys and girls, and talk about corvettes and cars.
It makes owning a car fun, and more interesting, instead of like a tuner being the only one of your car at a show.
(my brother went to a car show with his stealth, and comes out There wree no others there, so who can he talk to durning the show, and compare and get help from)

Must be a c-6 owner with big $ payments. "SINK THE BISMARK" THAT WAS THE BATTLE CRY. :SEEYA:
I think I was too hard on you Bismark. I think maybe you are just in a bad mood and the smug cloud that hovers over some vette owners might have rubbed you the wrong way. I for one love the corvette community (in general) and think that a corvette is definately NOT just another fast car.

I think there are alot of Trans Am/Vette owners. I for one am one and often forget which car I am in and will always wave when I see a vette and sometimes I am in the TA at the time.
