I put one on mine during the resto, much safer withit..........There are two different sizes, a small that is 5 inches that was installed from 68-74 and the larger that is 6.5 inches from 75-77 and then there's the sport mirror from 78-82.
Good luck, you will be happy if you choose to install one
There is a member on here, I can't remember who, that put two mirrors off of a Honda Del Sol. At least I think that's right and it looked really sharp and apparently help visibility over the rear "humps". This is something I'm considering. It may sound like blasphemy but to me it sounded and looked like a darn good idea.
I've had the ps mirror for years now, brand new in the box.
I've been hesitant to drill the holes.
Does anybody have the template for the hole placement?
If so, I'd appreciate somebody e-mailing it to me.
Thanks,
I have a GM/Corvette passenger mirror on my '69. If you are going to do this it is a MUST to replace the flat glass with convex glass to get the modern wide angle view. Otherwise it is of limited value. I really had to fight to get a glass shop to cut a modern convex mirror to fit the mirror.
I have kept mine stock, but I bought a 2x6 inch convex mirror that is mounted to a suction and placed in the passenger side upper glass, it gives me the vision of a side mirror, I bought it at Target for really cheap, like $6. You may want to try this, if you want to stay stock, it works for me.
