Would I be made fun of if I installed a mirror on the Pass side?
i dont wanna say I am a bad driver-but dealing with the A-Hole drivers here in NJ-I can use all the help I can get.
What is the view on the NON factory-NON dealer option Pass side mirror?
THANKS
Not by me. It's the 1st thing I bougt I think...after the lowering bolts for the rear. I see a number of people with the ps mirror. It's just too hard to look over your shoulder in rush hour traffic.

Passanger side mirror was a dealer installed option. As such it would be a no-no for an NCRS or Bloomington Gold car. But for a driver, is much needed.
Look at my Corvette Pics in my profile
I have the Pass side mirror... and on top of that I have the little round 2 inch convex mirror that sticks on so i can see wide angle
Anybody thats ever owned an early C3 knows the visibility sux.
People used to giggle about the little round mirrors... then next time I saw their car, guess what... the put them on too
Im not going to change lanes and have my Corvette destroyed.... Ill stick with the mirrors
i put one on mine..one of my first mods...but now, i kinda regret it..i actually like the look of the original 1 mirror...wish i would have kept it like that...but its not bad either way.

its definitely safer...mine has been useful several times..especially when the tops up. If i drove it more, i'd see more use of it...but as much as i drive it, i wish I had left it off.
After the first time I drove with the cheesy "bullet" mirrors that were originally on the car, I broke down and bought some of the original factory look mirrors for my '74. The car had already had some aftermarket mirrors put on that, while they looked ok, were nearly impossible to see out of. Adding the passenger side mirror just makes complete sense to me.
I put one on the first '73 I owned. The car was regularly driven and was most useful. I have purchased one for my second 73 put have decided not to put it own since I don't want to drill holes in the 30+ year old car. This car is rarely driven - nice weather cruising and occasionly to work.
For a regularly driven car I would install one.

Being one of the A hole NJ drivers I agree on the passenger side mirror for a daily driver. I don't have one because most of the time I drive with the top down so a quick glance and I can see over there quite well. It is up to you on what you need or want. I don't think anyone is going to tell you to take it off.
