Bought another Rat Vette!!
. Anyway ran across a good deal on a 69 4spd vert with a NOM 468. It's white with a black interior and white hard top and the remnants of a black soft top. It has had a frame off so all the bushings and suspension pieces are new including offset rear trailing arms, new fuel and brake lines, and new bearings all around. It has lots of VB&P parts under it including the springs and swaybars. The wheels are 16" centerlines with 255/50r16's all around (rub in front) Paint is pretty good (5 footer) but not great, seats and carpet are new, door panels are in good shape, needs basically everything around the center console replaced although everything is still functioning that is still there, albeit it's missing some components like a radio
The engine is a 468 with a Crane 278 cam, a old edelbrock 396C intake (large oval port), 870 Holley Avenger (vacuum secondary), 1 7/8" headers, chambered under car exhaust. The heads are of an unknown casting or even port type but are either a large oval port or rect. port with some port work and larger valves installed (2.19 intake,1.88 exhaust), I'm going to pull a valve cover shortly to find the casting numbers to see what they actually are. Compression was estimated to be in the 9.5-9.75:1 range, so I was warned 92 or better only fuel. It has a Be Cool radiator with dual thermastatically controlled electric fans. The drivetrain is a M-20 with a Hayes clutch and a Lakewood scattershield, and a 3.36 rear gear and new u-joints throughout. The car is very strong, should run in the 12's, deffinitly faster then the 73's mild LS-4. Now the car looks great in pictures but there is a lot of work here and there that is needed, including a new windshield (cracked and getting worse), but it should be a great driver when done so I can keep some miles off of the 73 since its matching numbers and low miles (61k). Now I know all of you will say this post is useless without pics, but they are currently pending approval, but if someone would want to post them if I e-mail them to them that would be great. Thanks for listening to me brag

, Yes that's a stinger hood and is fully functional as you can see from the scoop pic, it's also open at the back so it should keep the engine compartment fairly cool when moving. Boy how I forgot how much work it takes to start bringing these things back, seems like I find one little stupid problem after another, but I remember going through this with the 73 as well and it turned out to be a great car. Took both cars out for a little spin today since the weather was so great, then I had to put gas in both of them at 3.15 a gallon
Oh well it was worth it.
