Looks good. Corvettes are on of the few cars that look good in yellow.

Looks D r. Jay. I would have liked to do my own but I chickened out. Batman has a point, yellow attracts some unwanted attention. The boys at the body shop helped me out. A cop was in the shop and was admiring my yellow vette. They told him to get a good look at the rest of the car cause all he would ever see was the rear . Nuthin like starting out right!

Exactly the kind of attention I don't want.

I used a good quality resperator that has replaceable cartridges that I had bought when I was a pesticide applicator. It has a three stage filter the last being charcoal. One thing about resperators is if you can smell the product you are applying while using a resperator; the filters need to be changed, you have the wrong filter type, or the resperator doesn,t fit you properly. I Don't understand how some people use one of those $.05 dust masks to spray paint. They either don't care about what it will do to there lungs, or just like getting high from paint fumes.

Thanks for the compliments, I just love my vette. I,m not a body man, other than the ones found on college girls.
I got alot of great advice from Big_G on the correct products to use, and technique for doing corvette panel replacement. He is a great help, and I appreciate the fact that he took time out of his day when I would stop by his business "Austin Corvette Service & Restoration" to explain some techniques, and give advice. I also purchased a book on corvette body repair here is the link.
http://www.glas-ra.com/
It is very usefull with alot of diagrams, and photos that explain the repair process.
Thanks again for the compliments.

For the small amount of extra time required to remove some of these things it would have been well worth it, IMHO. Especially the antenna. Sure, the locks, mirrors and door handles could be a PITA but the antenna?

Think I woulda masked the exhaust and the wheel arches too, even if you're going to be replacing the sidepipes or repainting the arches.

Still, I've got a lot of respect for you for doing this job yourself. Awesome. Wish I'd had the ***** to do it!

The side pipes I have covers for, and the paint was still burning off of the glass packs anyway so I wasn't too worried about it. The wheel arches are going to be painted black. The Antenna was being a "pita" too remove so I decided just to mask it off.
