I have and 67 Chevy (not Vette) convertable that is burning oil. I don't want to mess with the engine until I get my 72 LT-1 on the road. I need a temporary solution. Anyone had experience with FHS SmokeLess oil, Bardol No-Smoke or any other such product? I like to put around in it, but I'm afraid I might get a ticket!
You may be able to reduce it by going to a thicker oil. Lets say you are running 30 weight and go to 20 w50 or straight 50 after that it is hard to find the 60 and 70 weight oils but you can find those at your local Harley dealer.
To be truthfull about it i don't think there is a a simple solution to your problem in my opinion for what its worth. if the car is smoking while driving the car it's wear or ring problems. all of the products out there that claim to stop oil burning are a waste of money and time.

I have to agree as I do not think the snake oils do anything. That is why I mentioned the thicker oils.
This still might be not to bad to fix if it is just valve guide seals.
It could be leaking by the valve seals - in this case STP might help.
If it's your PCV then there is a good temporary solution (Bubba's finest)
Do you have oil in your air filter ? If so it's coming from the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) hose.
Remove that hose and install a longer hose, route that to a 2Liter CocaCola bottle that you mount somewhere under the hood.... check how much oil is in that bottle (every 100 miles or so) and pour that oil back in the engine.
