Default 82 Crossfire - Hot Starting Problem

Once I turn off the engine after its hot. It will not start again for approx. 5 minutes. It appears that the engine is not getting fuel. After approx, 5 minutes that engine will start normally. Has anyone had this problem? I was wandering if the problem is related to the Anti-Theft system. (as a side note: The alarm used to go off own its own all the time - until the horn stopped working)

Thanks

I can't be of much help.My alarm don't work so I don't know if thats the problem.I've had plenty of old Z/28's (69-71) and they would do that sometimes but that was due to the starter getting too hot from the headers. In stock form I did not have that problem.Tell me does it try to start but acts like the battery is dead or does it turn over but just won't start? This is something I'm interested in because I have a 82CE so if you don't mind I'll just

Sounds like starter heat-soak. Endemic to the old-style Delco starters.

Does the engine crank and not start when acting up? Fuel inj wont suffer from vapor lock.
