I have a 72 with a Muncie M21 and the back-up light switch is supposed to connect to hole in the lever coming up to the shifter linkage. Problem is mine doesn't have the hole. Can anyone give me the measurements so I can drill one?

I think the easiest way is to use the linkage rod. I put the car in neutral and positioned the (back-up light) switch off then placed the linkage in position next to the reverse lever. The factory reverse lever is shaped differently so my stock linkage would not quite reach the lever. ( I have a Hurst set up.) I marked the spot where I wanted it to connect, removed the reverse lever and tacked a small nut to the edge of the lever. The linkage has been on there for almost 20 years without a problem.
