Default half shafts on 71

trying to get the shafts off bolts on the hub side i can,t get i have soaked with PB blaster i have used impact wrench no go, is my next move a torch to heat up what about being so close to the gas tank. thanks for any help

the shafts have a french lock on them
i assuming you have push the tabs down
then try a breaker bar

yes i have what about a torch to the bolts is that what i need to do very nice car by the way !!!!!!!!

The first time I removed those bolts from my '71, I used the bottom part of a hydraulic jack handle as a breaker bar. It's basically just a long pipe and I slid it over the socket wrench handle to gain extra leverage.

I soaked them with PB Blaster for a day, then used an 18" breaker bar.....it worked.

i got the drivers side off no problem but the other side won,t stayput i try to wrench on the bolt but the whole shaft will turn i put in reverse, 1 st 2 nd it still turns when i try to wrench off is this normal or do i have a problem thanks for any info
the bolts im wrenching are on the tire side and the shaft is still on the differential side
