Hi everyone, i'm new to the forum. I have a 1968 327 corvette that i wanted to restore but am begining to realize that i barely have the time let alone the funds. The option of selling is crossing my mind and i wanted to get your imput on what you think. How much would a project car of this type bring in? It has a non-numbers matching block. I do have the original build sheet which i carefully scraped off when i dropped the gas tank. The car starts and runs and even drives but the car has very little to no brakes. The original bucket lights were fiberglassed over by the previous owner but there is still the original space/attachment where the headlight buckets would go. All the fenders and panels etc. are original. The original color is international blue with a blue interior. Some info from the build sheet:
Trim 02414BA Blue Vinyl
Engine 02L79AA 327 V8
Axle 02GB1NA Posi 370R
Trans 02M21AB 4 Spd. CL ratio
Follow the link to pictures and let me know what you guys think....any comments would be appreciated. I was thinking of starting an auction on ebay? The pictures might not be that great i just went out and snapped a few. Thanks a lot!
Don't sell unless you are desperate for the money! Put it in the garage and work on it as you have a little time and money. So what if it takes 10yrs to do it. At least you'll have a valuable car in 10yrs. If you sell now, I promise you'll regret it 10yrs from now.
I would love to keep the car but i have no room! I do have a ralley red 427 big block so at least i'd still have one... Thanks! SO, just for the record i am looking to sell the car.
Thought you might be fishing...what are you looking to get for it? Feel free to PM me

That car is a full time job and a lot of elbow grease.
Good luck with the sale, shouldn't be difficult to sell on here depending on what your looking to get for it.
Gotta love those 68's, damn one year only features are a PImyA.

100 percent!
I like the 68, just wish I knew about the Forum back when I was doing the resto!
I am rebuilding a similiar car in New Zealand, bought it in the States and shipped it out. Full body off rebuild, is matching numbers and worth doing. Ecklers and Zip parts arrive 10 days after ordering. Not bad for being located down under and 12,000 miles away.
