Tried calling the company prior to purchasing these muffler inserts and couldn't get ahold of anybody. Does anyone know if all's well with this company? I like to make sure a place is still open before sending out the payment. Thanks in advance, Jim...
Disregard...I apologize, I jumped the gun...They promptly returned the calls and are indeed fine. Spoke with Jim, and he explained how his product worked and could be modified along with the upgrades you might do to your engine. I'm sold and the check's in the mail...
Luerja...Sounds like my kinda place! Not to mention the fact that the stock muffler inserts make the car sound like an asthmatic dog. Hooker headers and sidepipes should JAM! But, you know, make it work for YOU.
Got my Spiral Turbos today (Friday) Nice product/Super-fast shipping...I fully intended to be giving my opinion by now, but ran into trouble with the installation. Pulled everything apart, right up to where you remove the sidepipes from the collector...You guessed it: I couldn't get them to budge, much less remove them. PB Blaster, heat, you name it, I was afraid I was gonna pull the headers right off the block. Now, I hate to admit defeat, but I wasn't going to damage the system with my ham-fisted tactics, so...I'm appealing to those of you with experience in this area to point me in a direction that might improve my results (short of giving it to someone who knows what the hell they're doing). Any help would be greatly appreciated...
I thought I saw a post a while back wherre someone fabricated a "home-made" puller with threaded rod and two hose clamps. They used rubber to protect each side of the pipe/tubes and used the threaded rod to seperate the two pieces. I'm also interested because I'm going to be changing out my mufflers pretty soon.
PB blaster and a ton of muscle work....don't just pull the pipes straight back, but move them up and down and side to side. Eventually they will break free.
