First - I have to admit that I had the benefit of working with the car on a lift and with all sorts of air and power tools available. I was able to drill out the hole in the block for the clutch pivot ball stud without having to remove the engine from the car. My mechanic (Jim) has a small right angled air powered drill that did the job nicely. Once the hole was drilled and tapped and the clutch pivot ball stud was installed, the Z-bar went in just fine.

Default Great News !!!

She is back on the road !!!

I'll post some pix later. Tonight I am taking my daughter out to dinner in the Vette and we are going to CELEBRATE !!!

P.S. She runs AWESOME !!! I can hardly wait for some fair weather and some nice stretch of road (it rained just recently, streets are wet ).

Maybe we can take a ride together sometime. I just got my exhaust done and all hooked up. The only thing left is a front end alignment. It really is not that bad but it should be done. Glad to hear it is running good.

Hey Gordon, That is funny, after all of the work we have done on our cars the next thing on my list is an alignment too. Where do you plan to take yours? I am hoping to have mine done tomorrow. And yes, I think we are long overdue for a get together cruise, seeing as how we are practically neighbors.

What are you up to this Saturday after dinner?
I finish work around 5:30.

The way I feel right now, I would be happy to buy a round for us all!

I just got back from a wonderful celebration dinner. My daughter and I went to a nice Italian restaurant and had a great time. The Vette perfomed flawlessly, except for a little "burn off" smell at first. After dinner all of the smells were gone.

I would also like to thank all of you for your friendship and support. It has been a long road, between removing one motor and getting another installed. As we all know, this forum is THE BEST !!!

I don't know on the alignment. The guy who did it last time is no longer around. He was a Vette guy that managed a tire store and he personally did it. I'm not sure where to go now. As far as the weekends I spend them at LBI. I usually take off Friday afternoon and come home late Sunday or Monday morning. Let me know if you find a good alignment guy.

I have an appointment Wednesday morning at Al B's Wheel Align Service, 3904 Marlton Pike, Pennsauken (at Rt. 130 & Marlton Pike) 663-0077.

We will just have to do our get together cruise one evening during the week!
