Just bought an original water pump for a spare but it will need fixing. Is there a kit I can buy or does someone fix them. It's going to cost $50 to ship it to Australia and if it has to be overhauled in the US it would silly to send it back again.

Water Pump in Austraila
I'm shocked to see today, that no one has bothered to advise you about the pump problem since yesterday. Can't figure why because this groupe usually jumps in FAST to help fellow owners, especially those from other countries cause it's so hard and expensive to share our joy from afar!
How about it guys? I don't know where to advise him to go, but suggest he checks archives for past posts. Glenn
I would bet a company like Northern sells a rebuild kit, if you can not find a kit maybe buy another new, remanufactued one, have it shipped to Aussie, then strip it for parts and throw it in yours.
I remember reading an article in one of the Vette Magazines a couple of years ago - I'm thinking it was 'Cars and Parts - Corvette' that laid out the whole process. As I remember it, the only non-Do It Yourself step was to press a bearing off and on - 5 minutes at a machine shop ... I'll see if I can find the article.
Hello guys,
Thank you for the advice. Thought I got an original part in need of restoration at a reasonable price of $31.00 on Ebay but then holy cow the shipping for such a small item is 50 bucks. So I started to think should I get this restored first. t
To send it back to the US and return is another 100 bucks, one expensive water pump.
