2005 Mosport ALMS pics:
Since this year's Grand Prix of Mosport is only 2 weeks away, I thought I would re-post the pics I took there last year. I am so excited to go again this year, it was such a great time! If you are within a reasonable driving distance to Mosport, and are into seeing the Corvette race team in action, you should go!
If you buy a corvette corral ticket you get: a VIP pass, corvette-only parking, a private set of stands to watch the race, a hospitality tent in case it rains or is too hot; with a catered lunch on race day, a chance to meet GM Corvette "celebrities" like engineers and designers(Dave Hill was in front of me in the lunch line!), a chance to meet all the factory drivers and have a chance that one of them will pick your car as their favorite for a celebrity choice award (which I won last year; Oliver Gavin picked my car!), cool contests, a chance to do a few parade laps around the track with 99 other corvettes in front of thousands of fans, and much more.
This first set of pics are of my car on the track during the parade laps taken by the track pro photographer:

Glad you enjoyed them. 
I will be sure to take a bunch of pics this year too. There are several new teams/cars going to be there this year including Aston Martin, Ferrari, BMW, and a new LMP2 Porsche!!! Should make for some great pics.

The coolest car their will be the Audi R10. You will not believe how quiet that thing is. I got the chance to do the whole parade lap thing at Sebring this year. It was too dark for pics and I didn't have anyone to take them anyway. It was an absolute blast though. I slowed down to about 5 mph in one place and just lit up the tires and everyoen started cheering. Ton of fun! My dad was my passenger and it took him a few days to get the smile off of his face! 
Last year I saw one Porsche Carrera GT and this year four showed up! I saw an Enzo their a couple years ago, and every year more and more exotics come out. Handful of Lambos and Lotus Elises always show up. I think the Porsches outnumber the Corvettes though....

Thanks for that clip! I did not know Cadillac was involved in racing.

I hit the one at Road Atlanta. Have been going for the last several years. Last year was the first year in the Corvette Corral for me, with my 69 on the road 2 days after getting it back together after a long restoration.
Off course I plan to be there again this year, if work does not get in the way

Great pics!!! I would love to make it out to the ALMS one of these days. Atlanta is coming up IIRC soon. Too bad work is going to be in the way of a lot of stuff for the next few months.
