I used one on my '79 (from Lucas?? White bottle, blue lettering) that was the thickest goop I had ever tried to pour from a bottle...molasses in January as granny says. Helped for a short while but I'm still getting some leaks. I did not replenish it after changing the fluid from the pan, but since I didn't change the convertor fluid there is quite a bit left in there. However, it shifts like a dream...

Good luck

Where is the leak? From the oil pan? If so, chances are the bolts were overtorqued at the last oil/filter change w/new gasket. Overtorquing the bolts (which is easy to do since they require low torque), causes the pan to dimple under the bolt head and the rail to buckle between bolts. If this is the problem, drop the pan, carefully flatten the dimpled surface around each bolt hole and reinstall with a good quality gasket (Fel-pro, etc.). Torque the bolts to the required level. Run the car till it is up to operating temperature and while still warm, re-torque the bolt heads again to the specified torque. It should seal fine.

7T1vette is probably right about the pan gasket leaking. They area real pain in the ash to get not to leak. Even if its not the pan gasket all other gaskets and seals except the torque convertor seal can be replaced with the transmission in the car. If it were me I would not put any additives in the transmission that could possibly gum up the transmission.
