Make mine a Guinness draft. As most have pointed out, some people like bone stock, others on the real wild side, and most of us are in between. And I think I'll have another Guinness.
Jclgodale3, that's what I'm talking about. I think that style of mirrors looks pretty nice. Did you have to do any grinding on the base or did they mount without any type of modification? You've got a fine looking car. It looks like you put a lot of hard work and TLC to get it this nice looking. You should be proud.
I've thought about that swap too. I've already bought five mirrors off ebay trying to make one good pair of stock electric mirrors for may 81. I want to keep the electric mirrors, but dang! I've about given up. Time to go another route.
Thats exactly how mine started out same color too.Sweet car.
Thanks for the comment. I think I got a good deal on the car. The guy that originally did the car about 6 years ago put a ton of parts (money) in this car. I have all of the receipts. I haven't totalled it up but it's well over 20G.
I just bought a '75 with a 427 big block (originally a '68 Chevelle 396 SS engine). The original mirrors are wimpy and I thought the later model C3 mirrors should work just fine.
BTW - I am thinking about replacing the Turbo 400 tranny with a r700 and upgrading the suspension. After looking at the various rear end ratios, I think the 3.36 sounds like a good compromise.
