Active radiator (Phil pa)
Heatex (Roseville Mi)
Great Lakes (Bellville Mi)

All manufacture C/B and that's just from memory, I know there are dozens of others.

If someone wants a replacement c/b that fits I don't see how you could go wrong with a Modine or or GDI (ready rad)

Thanks everyone and thanks Tom! I wish we could afford the Direct-Fit line but he is only 17 and cash poor after buying the car and I'm the banker and mechanic

Anyway, this is a "driver" that needs a little more work and who knows how long he will keep it or please forbid, have an accident.

That leaves the copper/brass replacements by companies like Ready-Rad and Modine/Proliance. The car always had the correct temp with the stock 4 row, so for his budget we are thinking of staying with the copper/brass ones in the $300 price range. I know Modine has been around for a very long time, does anyone have any comments with regards to quality of the current aftermarket units or is one better than the other.

Thanks,
Scott
2 weeks ago, I got a great deal on a Modine for my 1980. The local radiator shop sold me one for $220.. Perfect fit.

Curious who do they make radiators for? All of the copper/brass ones for corvettes I found were made in places like China (Silla).
