Default Need Info Tag Locations

I'm cleaning up the engine bay of my '71 coupe w/air and need to know the location (and orientation) of the Harrison Air Cond. tag. Also, I purchased an "Engine Cooling Systems" tag and don't know where it goes (or if the SB vette even needs it). Description of placement or pics would be great.

P.S. This won't be an NCRS quality clean-up....I just want it to look right.

Never saw a Engine Cooling Systems tag. Here's a pic of the Harrison label (pass side opposite exhaust manifold).....and BTW it's not a bad thing to try and do an NCRS type of cleanup.

The '71 AIM ought to show the correct location of the various underhood labels and stickers attached at St. Louis. Ditto for what may have been stuck on the door. Just the same, several parts had their own labels from the various manufacturers, a major one being Harrison Radiator.

Thanks for the feedback, Vette-heads! The AIM has almost everything....but I couldn't locate those. I'm sure the Harrison tag must have been put on at the local factory. I guess I'll have to check with someone who has an NCRS book ['71 coupe] for the "Coolant" tag. Thanks for the pic on the Harrison tag--sure makes locating it a lot easier.

Default Su-prise! Su-prise!

Well, gq82, I looked on the A/C housing where your tag is located..... MY ORIGINAL TAG WAS STILL THERE!! Pretty well worn, faded, a bit "rumpled" and hangin' on by a thread.... but there is was. Since it was ready to fall off, I "helped it along". It came off without tearing and I've cleaned it up and put it in the folder I keep on my car. The A/C plenum now sports a shiny, new....fake tag. But it looks better, now. Thanks, again.

Thats cool!!

I checked the NCRS judging guide 70-72 and the only other cooling system tag noted is on the rad. If you have a copper rad (base w/air, LS5 & 6) it's attached to the pass side header tank. It contains 2 large embossed letters that are the broadcast code as well as a stamped part number.....depending on location of tag it may not be visible.

Aluminum rads (base w/o air, ZR1 & 2) have a metallic label with "Harrison Industries", a part # and date code on the top drivers side.
These don't sound like your "Engine Cooling Systems" tag but that's all that I'm aware of for a 71.

I appreciate the effort to look up that info. Just for "kicks", the tag I have is about 4 inches long by 1-1/4" high; all white tag with rounded corners; header is all caps in red letters "ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM"; the rest talks about coolant providing freezing protection to -20 deg., blah, blah, blah. Since the AIM didn't show anything (and I've never seen this tag on an early '70s vette) I'm assuming that the vendor is just trying to "push" product. If you find out otherwise, I'm interested. Time to go clean up my engine.
