Default 1970 LS5 Coupe

I have a trade in the making. I have to pay shipping accross the country so that will effect the resale value.
It is a silver coupe with an excellent tan gut, matching # BB auto factory Air, tilt telescopic, p/s,p/b ,with VDP suspension front and rear and nice underside, overall in very nice condition.
WHAT IS IT WORTH???
Trying to figure if I want to let my Hotrod go, Still keeping my 66 roadster!
Any help??? email me csign@aol.com
Thanks Curt

Check with 3M auto transport. I shipped a Vette from Chicago to Atlanta about 9 weeks ago for 500 bucks. Good service...open transport truck...insured....FAST! Maybe it was just luck, but I called them on a Thursday...they picked it up Friday afternoon....it arrived Saturday morning.

Good Luck

If the major componants are numbers matching(eng., carb, trans, rear, alt, dist, etc.) then on the + side of 25k.

Hi Curt, been a while. Thought you were getting out of the vettes.

Curt: Got the pictures. Overall it looks like a nice driver. Some of the panel fit could be better, especially the T-tops. You may want to see if you can adjust them as it makes it easier to sell when everything fits properly. A few aftermarket pieces... if you still have the original parts it will increase value. I'm confused in that it looks like the cross member is welded as that was only the case on 4-speed cars and yours is an auto. Was the frame replaced?

But all in all, a nice ride. I think it's worth well into the 20's.

Got the pics and agree it looks like a nice driver. Looks like a lot of good replacement parts.

Some things I can see:

What's up with the area above the trim tag...looks like it is seperated. Make sure birdcage is not rusted. If it is, then I personally would pass it up.

I agree with Zwede, ask about the trans/frame. Was it originaly an automatic? Check the vin # on the trans.

Cap on the radiator means aftermarket..not a bad thing. check for fit. Is the fan shroud cracked.

Check to see if it is the original carb. Alt. is aftermarket.

I am not trying to dis this car, just trying to be as critical as I would be if I were going to buy it.

I guess I'm confused now... Curt: Are buying this car or selling it? Your original post made it sound like you're selling it?

Sounds like he is trading his hotrod for this Corvette.
Curt also has a C2 and has had a couple C3s I know of.
He also sold me my rear clip/rolling chassis.

Anyway, here are the pics. They are big. I didn't resize.

Paul(smokin BB)
Thanks for your input. That's why this works!
Once I was shown how to enlarge and look close I could see what you ment. I went back and I am please to say that those Items were not what we thought. It was a frame off 10yrs back and all the orginal parts were saved (bonus). the trans matches only the alt. was a replacement and the trans cross over is a bolted one. So all in all it should be in my home for a while then for sale, and my 56 hot at his home. Gotta keep my 66!
Thanks Curt
